Tyler Cruz review

Tyler Cruz is an internet entrepreneur who’s currently offering bloggers a review on his site, in exchange for a review of his. As you may have guessed, this is my one.

There’s a few hugely successful bloggers out there, who actually make a living off their blogs. John Chow, and Shoemoney being two of the best known. Tyler Cruz is, in my opinion, well on his way to becoming one of these. He currently has over 900 RSS subscribers on his blog, and that number seems to always be increasing. He’s a very successful web entrepreneur, with his blog bringing in $1000 last month, and his poker forums netting him a very admirable $6000.

I’ve had personal experience with Tyler actually. (The first time was actually to let him know one of the links in his sidebar wasn’t working correctly ) When I first got this theme there was a character in the design that looked very similar to Tyler’s. When he saw this, he quite politely let me know that he wasn’t too pleased, and I of course, removed the character. He thanked me for this, and said he might mention it on his blog sometime, which would obviously be a nice very thing for him to do.

Tyler updates regularly, generally once a day, though sometimes there could be guest posters, and the inevitable paid review. He maintains some personality through his posts though, which is why he’s probably my most favoured of all the successful bloggers. I like seeing personality in blogs, whereas with John Chow I only ever seem to get a huge post about some new promotion he’s doing, and I get tired of this after a while. I hope Tyler doesn’t end up becoming one of these kind of bloggers, because there’s simply enough of them right now.

On a separate note, my damn feedburner stats are messed up again. They do this every so often, refusing to count my email subscriptions in the subscriber count. It usually fixes itself the next day, but it’s still very frustrating for me seeing the number so low.
