New Babyshambles material.

Babyshambles have finished the recording of their new album, though it won’t be out for another two months at the earliest. The first single off it will be “Delivery”, and there’s a radio rip of this song to be found at this link : http://www.mediafire.com/?5d9qni5n9nt

The song is quite good, but nothing too special really. I think this album will be a lot more general public friendly, and will probably get them a lot more critical acclaim. Though the lads deserve this, I wouldn’t enjoy it too much really. Babyshambles are my band, so people who normally make fun of Pete Doherty suddenly liking isn’t something I’d like.

I’m looking forward to the new album, but am also a little afraid of it. The new guitarist is a lot more stable than Pat Walden, who sounded so chaotic at times, but I think this was part of Babyshambles’ sound, and it made for some great anthems. The best songs on the first album were the ones Pat and Pete wrote together. I imagine this album to be steadily good, but maybe lacking in some major anthems. Time will tell.
