My favourite bloggers.

I’ve been wanting to do this post for a while now. I’m just going to talk about some of my favourite blogs that I like to read as an excuse not to do any schoolwork :D

Smemon
Probably one of the first blogs I ever began reading on a regular basis, and he certainly introduced me to the other bloggers on this list. He’s a fellow Irishman, 20 years old, living in Monaghan I believe, and runs a good few decent sites, with his big project, BeerChief, still in the works. I can always rely on this guy posting at least one new post every day, which is something I like. I don’t like when people don’t update regularly. I want to know when to expect updates, and I get this from Smemon. He’s a very sound guy, always been very helpful to me whenever I’ve needed. He’s just gotten a new custom theme done for his site too, so check that out. I also like the good balance between online work and personal updates on here.

The University Kid
Another regular updater here, and this guy’s around the same age as me, but living in the United Arab Emirates. Along with being a very cool guy who’s always willing to help and talk business, he works hard online. Like me, he’s not afraid to call an idiot an idiot. Most importantly, he makes a lot of money. It’s good for me to see that someone my age and very similar to me personality wise can earn the kind of money he does. He carries out similar things to what I want to do, but being in University he seems to have a lot more time to work on them and get the moola ;)

William Montanaro
Aside from having the coolest surname in the history of the world (reminiscent of Tony Montana from Scarface), this guy is just 16 years old, and clearly wise beyond his years. He’s been marketing online now for a few years, and knows his stuff. Updates regularly enough, and is currently having a new theme done, so ignore the default wordpress theme up on the site at the minute! This guy actually bought petedohertyforum off me a while back. He make a lot of money doing writing jobs online, and is also in the process of writing a pretty big ebook on getting traffic to your website.

Madringo
A fellow Dubliner here, and the same age as myself too. Quite a modest lad, or so it seems anyway, from his “About me” page - “I don’t use the term ‘Internet Entrepeneur’, not yet anyway.” I’ve talked to him a little and he’s a very sound guy, taking up my offer of a link exchange without any sort of hesitation. We’re also at the same level in terms of RSS subscribers. To be honest I haven’t been a reader of Madringo’s blog for very long, having only discovered it recently. I’m going to have to read some of his previous posts to know more about his online work, and see if I have anything to learn from him.

Thomas Sinfield
I was very intrigued when I first stumbled across this guy’s blog. Mainly because I found it after reading about his ebook “Guide to Blogging”. I found this so interesting because I was actually planning on writing one of these myself, so I had to check out the competition. I then go to check out his portfolio, and find he has a blog about acne, which is even more interesting in that I’m currently working on CleanseAcne. So we seem to be similar in our online interests. He’s a very nice guy too, offering me a review on his acne blog on CleanseAcne (if I ever finish the damn thing).

John Cow
No, it’s not a typo. John Cow is a hilarious parody of John Cow, and I mean hilarious. You simply have to go onto the site to fully appreciate it. They actually make quite a bit of money in the process, which is good to see. I advise you to check out their parody on John Chow’s “Fine Dining” category. Got a good laugh out of me anyway.

I was going to include the likes of John Chow and Tyler Cruz in this, but John certainly doesn’t need the exposure, (and I find his blog quite shit for casual reading actually) and I’ll be doing a review on Tyler soon for something else.
