I was never really a big fan of movies up until this summer, when I saw Scarface, which I adored. This was what got me into all the movies I’ve been watching lately.
It’s a classic, and held in pretty high regard. Al Pacino was so good in it, especially that accent! Next was the Ocean’s movies. Ocean’s eleven was brilliant, and they went downhill from there, but they’re still a great set of movies. I saw The Departed and Snatch since then, both were quite good. I’ve got tons more to watch, as I got some recommendations from the movie forum of boards.ie. It looks like next up will be Inside Man.
I just love films about organised crime, where the criminals are actually clever, suave, and suit-wearing.
I never liked any actors before either, but Brad Pitt is damn good, his pikey accent in Snatch was brilliant.

To the tv show, Scrubs. This show has taken over my summer. As I type this Alvis is downloading seasons 5 and 6 for me to feed my addiction. Below is a hilarious scene of JD and Turk from season one.
This video was made by a few young lads (in Kildare I hear) who then uploaded it onto youtube. Since then the video has become a news story, and a full Garda investigation is underway I believe. I even heard an interview with an “expert” who said that it was a miracle the guy is still alive.
The guy has some balls for doing it, a fucking idiot though.
