		<description>hmm... the date thing you're looking for is a simple bit of code, can't come up with it off the top of my head, but i'll email you later ;-)

The timing issue can only really be two things; your server time or your blog time. I'm assuming you've set your blog time (in wordpress admin panel) to UTC which is our time at the minute (UK). The time thing played havoc with my blog once upon a time, it may not be as simple as changing a few values. It wasn't for me!
